Young Holywood

Alright well before I get on with my story, I want to talk about this Jamie-Lynn Spears issue. I work in a hospital with a lot of nurses who have children. I also work teaching swim lessons to a lot of children who idolize kids like JLS for the work she does with Nickalodeon shows. If you have not heard, this sixteen year old is pregnant. She is out in public with the news. I wonder if Britney realizes that she even had something to do with what might well be her sisters downfall. I wonder if she realizes that so many girls like her sister are out there ruining (for lack of better words) their lives in much of the same way. Thinking that when they are sixteen having sex with their boyfriends is ok. Thinking that its normal and safe and nothing bad will come from it. Thinking that being provocative and sexy when they are twelve, fourteen, sixteen years old is the way to be popular and cool, especially with the opposite sex. That that kind of behavior is normal and even admirable. I don't know about any of you, but I don't want my future eight-year-old little girl wearing make-up and heels and a low cut shirt when mommy's not around talking to her friends about their sixteen year old sisters babies and making out with boys. I think young holywood is going to hell. I think it's been oversaid, but this just pushed me over into disappointment and disgust.
